Napoleon Bust -Update 8/29

Hello again and thanks for checking in. I have done some further refining of the facial features of this latest bust. It's better than it was, but still some tweaking here and there. It's difficult with a well known face with which there are only paintings for reference as there really is a lot of variation though they still all have a certain "Napoleon-ness" about them. Trying to depict him at the coronation so he was a bit younger, too. The laurel wreath crown was difficult, but fun. Just starting to add the robe which looks a little funny, but will make sense as it develops. The sleeve folds are going in too.

Thanks for looking.

Ernst August Bust Released!

Hello! Here are a few pictures of one of my recent sculpts for Michael's Miniatures. In progress shots were featured in earlier posts. The pictures of the painted piece are by Italian Master, Danilo Cartacci. You can order this bust and other nice pieces directly from Michael's Miniatures at the following link:

New Portrait Update...8/12

Here are some updated pics of the new sculpt. The crown wreath has been sculpted from two halves that seperate from the head for ease in casting. I'm just starting to rough in the lace collar and the ears aren't fully carved. Thanks for looking and feel free to comment.

New Portrait..Update

Here are a few shots of a new bust in process. This one was featured in an earlier post and has had a lot of work done to it. In fact, it's an entirely new head as the first wasn't really happening for me and had grown a bit too large. I hope this is an improvement over the first draft.
