Here are a few pics of the finished bust. It was a fun project and one I certainly had alot of interest in doing. I'll have this piece in my Gettysburg display August 7-9. Thanks!

- I started, as most in this hobby seem to have started, modelling armor when I was young. Later in life I decided to get back to modelling. I attended my first figure show in Atlanta in 1994 and have been attending shows regularly ever since. If you have never attended a figure show, I would highly recommend doing so. It's through this wonderful hobby that I've been fortunate enough to meet great and talented people from all over the world and have made many new friends in the process. These days, I always attend my local show here in Atlanta, GA as well as making the annual trek to my hometown of Chicago for the MMSI Show each October. I enjoy figure painting from all eras and also sculpting my own original busts. I have been fortunate enough to have some of my busts produced by great companies such as Pegaso Models, Adalbertus of Poland, United Empire Miniatures and The Lost Battalion. Thanks, Calvin! Very nice of you to say. I studied your version before painting mine. I'm experimenting lately with complimentary glazes. You may be able to see the violet tones in the shadows of the coat. I think this gives some added life and dimension to things. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.
