- I started, as most in this hobby seem to have started, modelling armor when I was young. Later in life I decided to get back to modelling. I attended my first figure show in Atlanta in 1994 and have been attending shows regularly ever since. If you have never attended a figure show, I would highly recommend doing so. It's through this wonderful hobby that I've been fortunate enough to meet great and talented people from all over the world and have made many new friends in the process. These days, I always attend my local show here in Atlanta, GA as well as making the annual trek to my hometown of Chicago for the MMSI Show each October. I enjoy figure painting from all eras and also sculpting my own original busts. I have been fortunate enough to have some of my busts produced by great companies such as Pegaso Models, Adalbertus of Poland, United Empire Miniatures and The Lost Battalion. I am always eager to discuss commission work and would love to hear from you about project ideas, commissions or purchasing figures seen here on my site. Contact me at mattspringer68@charter.net
